Now that we are aware that the glaciers are actually melting, and that our reliance on oil and gas is a large part of why that is occurring, the ad is no longer effective in selling the company.
Wow, one comment and it's by a denialist, and as per their charm he's using almost insignificant data where the bigger picture actually goes against his point. Fancy that.

ReplyDeleteAGW aside, I have to say that the melting glacier analogy is actually quite an impressive way of describing the energy output of Humble. I think it's awesome. Fossil fuels will always have a place in my heart - without them our civilisation would be an order of magnitude less developed than it is now.
Sorry about that... If this thread does not make sense to readers, it is because I deleted a comment, not because of the opinion that was presented, but because of the content... might be time to get some kind of official comment policy. One of the few things that will get a comment deleted is name-calling.
ReplyDeleteI work for an oil comapny and yesterday we had a teambuilding where we walked on a glacier. It was retreating at a rate of 10m a year. Did I feel gulity.... er yeah.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is sad. It has been said that around 20 percent of the worlds oil may be trapped under the glaciers... Incentive to warm the globe?
